Funding Guidelines
The European Union Center of California makes available funds for curriculum development for faculty at the Claremont Colleges. Faculty from all disciplines are eligible.
Grants for course development will range in amount and normally not exceed $500.00. Grants are available to support the following activities:
- Development of new courses with substantial contemporary European content. Preference will be given to proposals for courses with specific attention to the European Union;
- Addition of substantial contemporary European content to existing courses. Preference will be given to proposals for courses with specific attention to the European Union; and
- Linkage of new or existing courses to the Center's speaker series. Preference will be given to proposals that require student attendance at some or all of these events. Preference will be given to proposals for courses that will be taught on a continuing basis, and that will appear in the curriculum as soon as possible.
Application Procedures
Applicants should include an application form, a current C.V., a copy of the proposed syllabus (or of the current syllabus (with projected changes or linkages to the speaker series noted) to the EU Center.
