Summer Research Internship
Institute of European Affairs in Dublin, Ireland

Application Deadline: March 24, 2010
The European Union Center of California will sponsor one summer internship at the Institute of European Affairs in Dublin, Ireland. The intern will spend approximately 6 – 8 weeks during summer of 2010 working with the IEA research team. The IEA’s mission is to contribute to the study of Irish policy on European integration. The Institute provides a unique forum where politicians, public servants, representatives of business, agriculture, the trade unions, the media and academia can discuss and evaluate the long-term options for Ireland within Europe.

Summer Research Internship
Assembly of European Regions, Strasbourg, France

Application Deadline: March 24, 2010
The European Union Center of California will sponsor one summer internship at the Assembly of European Regions (AER) in Strasbourg, France. The AER is the primary political lobbying organization for the regions of Europe, serving over 260 member-regions in 33 countries. The intern will spend 6-8 weeks during July and August 2010 learning about and observing the European political process. He or she will draft political declarations and press communiqués, write articles, translate official letters, and manage conferences. The intern is highly integrated into AER’s operations and can expect to make real contributions.

Summer Research Internship
United States Mission to NATO in Brussels, Belgium

Application Deadline: September 24, 2010
The EU Center of California will sponsor one or more summer internships at the US Mission to NATO. The interns will spend 8-10 weeks during summer 2011 working with the United States Mission to NATO. The U.S. Mission to NATO is staffed by career state department employees working for the U.S. Ambassador to NATO and Department of Defense employees working for the Secretary of Defense Representative to Europe. The Mission is located inside NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
